I am a therapist based in central London and online. I offer weekly sessions from Monday to Thursday. I work in an integrative manner, which means I draw on various psychotherapeutic techniques and tailor sessions to your needs. I'm happy to arrange a 15 minute chat to address any questions and discuss whether working together might be right for you.
About me and my practice
I am a registered therapeutic-counsellor, working in an integrative transpersonal modality. This means I draw on various schools of thought such as Jungian, psychodynamic, Gestalt, and nervous-system focused approaches.
I work in a classic talk based context and take a whole-person and whole-life approach. We will draw on your past experiences, as well as your current lived experience and any hopes or worries you may have for your future.
I believe a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship between client and practitioner is paramount. You may have specific things you would like to discuss or need support with, or you may be unsure of exactly what to bring. Working at your pace, I will endeavour to create a safe, caring environment to see what might emerge.
I work with adults, and offer short-term, or open-ended therapy. Sessions are 50 minutes and held on a weekly basis.
Experience
I trained as a transpersonal integrative therapeutic counsellor with Re-Vision, a well-respected training body accredited by the BACP and UKCP.
For the last few years I have been working with people at the Psychosynthesis Trust and for more than a decade my work has been focused in fields related to mental health. For example, as well as my current psychotherapeutic practice, I have worked on youth mental health in the charity sector.
I have an academic background in the philosophy and history of yoga and meditation from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), part of the University of London. I have also taught yoga and meditation extensively. Needless to say, this interest and practice informs my therapeutic work and vice versa.
